Fundraising Ceilidh!
On Saturday 19 April 2008 a group of dancers performed in Carlisle, and followed this with a ceilidh at Haydon Bridge Community Centre.
We were delighted to raise £600.
Thanks to everyone who helped - dancers, musicians, collectors, callers, bands, sound engineer, table shifters, raffle ticket sellers, stewards, drivers, including . . .
Carlisle Clog and Sword, Clogarhythm, Hexham Cloggies, Hexham Rapper, Hexhamshire Lasses, Inclognito, Instep, Old Spice Girls, One Night Band, and solo jiggers Mick and Will.
Every year we need a few thousand pounds to organise Clogfest. We’re grateful to all the organisations who’ve sponsored us, but we still need to raise money for each festival. So, if you’d like to sponsor us, please contact us.
And if you’d like to raise funds by putting on a ceilidh or organising a danceout, or a musical marathon, or whatever, please contact us. All ideas welcome.
A huge thank you to the organisers, Angela and Georgia,
The Old Spice Girls!
Clog It 3!
Thanks to Clogarhythm for donating the collection from their third weekend of dance, 6 - 7 September 2008, in Harrogate and Knaresborough.
Despite dodgy weather they managed to raise £50.
Georgia does it again!
On Saturday 28 March 2009 Georgia and many friends raised £340 at a ceilidh at Haydon Bridge Community Centre.
Thanks to all who helped, danced, played, and raffled. A grand night.
