Jolly Wassailers

Was  Hail! Saxon  Waes Haeil! Middle English  Ves Heil!  Norse

Good health with much drinking! Beer, cider, nutmeg, cinnamon, apples; bread and cheese, Christmas loaf; wandering in the mire; maids with lily white smocks....and singing and revelry.

Keighley Road Jolly Wassailers sing wassails and carols to celebrate the turning of the year . . . and Mayday . . . and Harvest. Songs are mainly unaccompanied four-part harmony; some have music and dance. We put the joy of dance back into carol singing!
